PrimeTime... a movie that falls a little short.

PrimeTime is a film based off Chris Hansen's "To catch a Predator" TV series. This movie stars Robert Pattison as Chris Hansen and while I think this movie is very stylistic I think it lacks a lot of soul.
I feel like this movie should've been a deep dive into Chris Hansen's life and the making of the hit series or at least a deeper dive into the contrversal moment in the series history WHICH the movie touches on but doesn't go in depth with. This film focuses on a couple of other characters outside of Chris which I didn't find too interesting and took away from the amazing performance Robert Pattison was putting on.
While there's no bad performance in this film the story felt sped up and all over the place. We barely get a scene with Chris and his family to see if he's a family man or how much he cares about his family (Yes I know he cheated and isn't a saint) I would've loved to get more scenes with them to make the hit piece article agisnt him to have more weight for the audience.
As much as I liked the angle they were trying to tell with the decoy(actor's) role in all of it I found it not as compelling and felt like a story that didn't need as much time as it got in this film.
We also didn't get to see what happened to the predator's after the episode's came out which would've been an interesting angle to capture.
At the end of the day its a show with cool visuals, great performances, and cool cinematography but very little substance to have this be a memornible film.
