Collect-a-con is a Trading/Sports card super show where over 50 vendors come together to sell trading cards and memorabilia and even some video games. Along with these vendors are a couple of voice actors from some of the most popular series around. At this year's show the line up was Cristina Vee, Maile Flanagan, Eric Stewart, Erica Schroeder, Bryce Papenbrook, and Charles Martinet.

If you're a trading card fan there's no bigger event than this. Collect-a-con travels to many big cities in the United States throughout the year which ensures that many people get a chance to attend. I thought the vendors had cards at moderately fair prices, there was a Yu-Gi-oh vendor that had very agreeable prices and great deals and I ended up walking away with some PSA 8 Blue Eyes White Dragons. Although this is primarily a Pokemon card convention there were plenty of sports cards vendors around and I ended up walking away with a 2008 Kobe Bryant card that was a mint PSA 9 that was below comps online which was amazing.

Now lets talk prices. Richmond isn't an expensive city so surrounding hotels should run you anywhere around $120-$400 depending how far you're willing to be from the convention building. For the tickets there's 3 different options.
Saturday only pass: $44
Sunday only pass: $37
Weekend Pass: $60
VIP Fast Pass: $138
Overall I found the staff, vendors, and celebrities all to be very nice which led to a great experience. You will have to shell out a lot of money for TCG purchases as a lot of vendors tend to have their inventory above to WELL above comps you'll find online. Have you been to Collect-a-con? if so what did you like the most?
